The Greater San Diego Science & Engineering Fair stimulates interest in science, math, engineering, and computer science for thousands of students in San Diego and Imperial Counties. We strive to encourage and reward academic excellence by promoting literacy and educational enrichment.

In 2017 alone, we will have touched the lives of over 3,000 students as they research, assemble a project, are screened, and finally 630+ students will come to Balboa Park to have their projects judged by over 400 professional scientists, engineers, technology experts, and educators.

Putting on the Science Fair takes an entire year of planning, fundraising, recruiting of judges, screeners, e-Mentors, and continual supporting of students, teachers, and schools. The Fair does not end with the GSDSEF in March. After our Fair, we participate in the California State Science Fair in Los Angeles and the Intel International Science Fair which is being held in Pittsburg in May, 2018.
